I just uploaded a new free theme to themes.wordpress.net. I call it 12RedBlue and is a 2-column widget ready free theme. I released it under the license that you can use it in any way you want but you have to leave the link in the bottom.

Do you know the feeling that you feel you are on to something but get a bit like “nahh couldn’t be that simple…I should buy a gazilion ebooks from all sorts of guru’s first and they should tell me it works” …well I wanna share something that I feel is going to be big and drasticly changing.
One of the things I did lately was buying some domainnames with the word video in it. And altho I am swamped with all the things I still want to do it is high on my priority list to get some content on them using a free program to record video’s from your screen. The plan is to demonstrate the order proces or filling in a form at a lead generation which in turn pays me money as I am an affiliate for them. Why?…Google has bought Youtube and now they changed the resultpage displaying video, images and books on the page. I haven’t seen it yet as google nethelands isn’t that far yet but it will come.
If you search for a term like mortgage application in “old Google” it will display 11 milion results…even with my squidoo experiment I do not dare to dream to come in the top 100 let alone be on the first page. But what if you take that same phrase and google-video it…it will return 51 results.
I must confess that it is something I knew already for a couple of months but not after the news that Google altered the resultspage it’s haunting me to get some video’s done.
It’s almost like being in 1998 again..start a website about a topic, follow some basic rules and you are almost garenteed to be in the first page of Altavista, hotbot or Yahoo (google wasn’t around back then as far as I remember)
A video is not something very difficult…it can be a powerpointpresentation or just some photo’s in sequence…after some video’s you will get the hang of it and it will become more easier.
There are too many keywords and I can’t make a video om them myself so this is why I thought I should share it with you as well as a kick in my but to get moving

I love wordpress as a cms but out of the box it’s not all it can be. I have build over a hundred sites now with wordpress as an engine and I can only say …I wish I knew a few years ago about wordpress. The way you can modify it using plugins to have it highly SEO friendy, the tools to get a new site in the index fast using tags, pings and social bookmarks and have visitors from day 1 and getting a wordpress popular is not hard if you know what buttons to push.

I just finished a new template for wordpress. It’s a 2 column blue theme with a touch of web2.0 I call it 12Blue. It’s sidebars are widgetized and you can change it dynamicly if you use the sidebar widget. If you find any bugs or got any comments on it please let me know

Lately a lot of buzz is going on about Squidoo.com It’s supposed to be the new best friend of Google and if you are planning to have some ranking for a keywordterm you might consider using them instead of using a new domain and building links to it.
Why?…trust…Google seems to like Squidoo and favors pages build at squidoo (they call it lenses) It’s sorta same story as with wikipedia I guess but if you are into internetmarketing there is a hugh benefit about Squidoo…they let you build pages (lenses) about anything and you are perfectly allowed to build lenses around your affiliateoffer.
Is it working? I donno yet..I tried building a lens a long time ago and had zero luck with it but as knowledge grows I see the potential of it so I want to document an experiment.
I have build a lens about dutch autoinsurance (i’m dutch that is why) and it is pritty compatative term in the search enigines. The term I am trying to rank for is “goedkoopste autoverzekering” I created the lens yesterday and of course it is no where to be found in the search engines. No traffic and sales so that is easy.
I bookmarked the page with onlywire.com and just made a link to it here on my blogroll and within this post. I will build some more links to it the next few days and report back on the progress.
