Ok…2009 is here and as many I also have set my goals. Goalsetting is very important but keeping to a scedule is even more.

The months January and February are always slow for my business so I made the decision to build at least one minisite a day but am going for 2 a day. I say minisite but I have to be a bit more specific. I am going to build sites inspired at infoproductkiller

Without going into much detail the sites are extremly focused on 1 product. Using organic searchengine rankings these sites should get some nice placements in Google, MSN etc. I am going to use the dutch market and select products that sell for more then 250 euro ($300). Using that strategy I should easily find a 100+ products which is the number of sites I want to have finished at the end of February.

I just finished the first site which is about the Ninetendo Wii (great gamecosule btw and I am planning to buy one as I like the Wii Fit game) it’s at wii kopen

Using the same idea I will build these affiliatesites. If each will make a sale a month I am more then happy. Will keep it updated this time and tell how much sites I have build and the results

I decided to make a series of small reports dedicated to the newbies online. It will deal with things like setting up a site, blog, editing html, hosting, domainnames etc etc.

All in a step by step guide way with maybe video to make it all even more clear.

I have asked several friends which parts of owning a website/blog they have dificulties in or whished they had a step by step guide for but I can always use more input.

So if you are struggling to get a website online or have questions that you un into let me know.

I have been coding again and made a product that if you are an affiliate I think at least should take a look at.

Do you check your stats? Do you spend maybe to much time login in into several affiliate networks just to take a look and see if you earned any money? I do … and I guess I am not the only one. Maybe you do not want to admit it but if you would time all the moments that you are non productive I guess this is one of the major pitfalls

STATS CHECKING DOESN’T MAKE YOU MONEY

So… what i did was this

I created a tool that automaticly logs into your account at 17 different affiliate networks. CJ.com , clickbank , azoogleads , neverblueads etc etc and queries the stats. returns the result of all those in one screen.

All mixed with a bit of AJAX so it’s lightning fast because all requests are done simultane in different processes and no need to refresh the browser. When the query at an affiliatenetwork is done that result is displayed in the browser.

When you build a site about the topic the main research you should do is to try and get an idea which words will score. Upto now there were several ways to get global ideas about the searchvolum a word gets.

One of those is a free tool made for the 90 day challange by the owner of Wordtracker. At http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/ you could enter a keyword or phrase and when you see the results there is a graphbar. If you click that you will get this result

There is a result that says actual vistors from Google. This is based upon Google Trends and comparing the word with a word Wordracker knows how many visitors came from that word as they hold the #1 position.

But it was still an estimation….untill yesterday. Google opened up the numbers and now shows actual data in stead of a green bar. Take a look at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Besides the search volum of your keyword you get also the search volum of relevant other keywords which will make it a lot easier to know which words to target… and best of all it’s FREEEEEEEE

I will write an other post about how I am able to install 100+ wordpress sites in relative fast time but what I do need now is a tool that allows me to manage posts, categories, pages, plugins etcetc without me loggin in each time for each domain.

I know there is some software that is able to handle this but I forgot to bookmark it. Need to look for it again.

Making the sample sites for ABB I found products that I hadn’t seen before. One of those was a Motorized Electric Golf Cart

Seven small tips to gain more traffic to your site

1. Comment on blogs
Find the blogs that deal with the same topic as yours and post comments on them. Make it interesting and add value.
2. Bookmark sites
Use a service like onlywire.com to have your site bookmarked at 30 sites with the touch of 1 button.

3. Post on Forums
Ask and aswer questions. Use it wisely and do not spam your links. Two great sites that can help you track the right forums that are about your topic are www.findyourforum.com and www.bigboard.com

4. Create a video
There are several free tools that will help you to make a video even without having a camera. You can make video´s using photo´s with windows mavie maker which is standard installed if you have Windows XP. A free tool which can be used to record your screen activatie and publish it as a movie is Camstudio

5. Unique content
Should have been number 1…. if you create unique and good content you will get traffic as people refer to you

6. Buy links
It´s frowned upon by search engines but you can use a service like text link ads and buy links to your site.

7. Blog carnivals
Participate in a blogcarnival

(At Hostgator I even have 2 accounts as I do not want more then 100 sites at 1 account altho they offer unlimited)
